Hi. I sweat a lot (especially on my forehead). How can i make it less visible?
Excessive sweating can cause a lot of anxiety. The medical term is Hyperhidrosis. The only easy thing you can try is to apply an absobent powder such as Colosé Talc Powder Should you find that powders are not enough you will have to visit your doctor as there are precriptions powders that you can use and there is also medication that you can take. The last resort is surgery to remove the overactive sweat gland.
What should I do to my shoulders if they are already peeling due to sun burn?
You need a very rich moisturizer or lotion that contains Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera reduces inflammation, stimulates the production of collagen and also accelerates wound healing. We recommend Colosé After Sun Skin Care Emulsion Aprés Soleil. Unfortunately once a sunburn occurs there is nothing you can do but let the healing process run its course. Do not peel the skin off especially when it is not ready to flake off naturally.
How come I can wash my face everynight with the same soap and my face will clear up and then about a week later after my face has cleared up my face will get pimples again? I do wear alot of make-up, I try to hide my pimples with cover up and all of that. What can i do to keep my face clear for good?
We do not recommend using soap on your face. You should either use cleansing milk or cleansing lotion. You should also use a herbal mask once or twice a week for a deep cleansing. Please take a look at our article on acne and the products offered to clear up facial imperfections such as pimples.
Does going to sleep with mascara on give your eyes fine lines?
No, but it is not wise to go to sleep with mascara on. It can cause a bacterial infection and depending on the thickness of the mascara it can get into your eye and cause red, swollen eyes in the morning, not to mention the fact that you may wake up with raccoon eyes. A simple "in a hurry" way to remove mascara before going to sleep is to use Colosé eye makeup remover pads.
I have stretch marks on my lower back and it kills me because I have tried all the `miracle` creams out there I have come to the conclusion that there are no miracles so do you know what is a good water proof concealer I can use?
The Dermablend product called "Leg & Body Cover Cream" conceals varicose veins, age spots, birthmarks, burns, scars, bruises, stretch marks, and tattoos and comes in 15 different shades. It is fragrance-free, waterproof, smudge-resistant and long-lasting - up to eight hours.
How can you get your pores unclogged and fast at home for very little money?
The fastest way to unclog pores is to do a facial or apply a face mask. A simple home remedy would be using egg whites. Use warm water on your face, even wrap a warm towel around your face. A towel just out of the dryer works well. Let your face dry naturally. Mix an egg white and a small amount of apple juice and vegetable oil, no more than one teaspoon. Apply this mixture to your face starting at you chin and work upward and outward. Now lie back for at least 15 minutes to 1/2 hour and then after the mixture has completely dried on your face (neck too) remove with warm water. Is there even a simpler way to unclogged pores? Yes, Colosé offers 5 different facial masks from green clay to herbal for acne prone skin. They are all reasonably priced and of the highest quality.
Hello, I am 36 years old, I have quite severe acne scarring on my face, very oily skin with enlarged pores & blackheads on both my middle face & my nose, I have tried several times to remove these in different ways, but it seems that due to my enlarged pores, they just keep coming back. Is there a way that I can permanantly rid myself of these black heads & minimise my pores? Please help. Jane
The number one thing you have to do is to get yourself into a daily cleansing routine. We have a special right now on the Colosé Acne Fighting System. Use these products faithfully until they are gone. Do not become discouraged the first week as you will not see any great improvement - it takes that long to bring all the impurities to the surface. You may think that it is not working, but it is. In the mean time, use concealer to hide to blackheads. You should not pop them as this can cause more scarring...BUT, if this is something you feel you must do...then first use a facecloth with warm water to soften the hardened oil. Wrap a tissue around your fingers and add pressure around the area. This will insure that you won´t have fingernail marks on your skin. It is best to have a licensed esthetician or a dermatologist remove blackheads. You must treat the underlying cause which is your pores are not "breathing properly."
Hi, I recently learned the Co enzyme Q10 is bright yellow in color, I am wondering if my face creams that I purchase contain only trace amounts of it as my night and day cream are white in colour, surely they should be yellowish?
In its raw state Co enzyme Q10 may be deep orange/yellow in color. In cosmetics the enzyme is usually incorporated with other ingredients. Colosé Co enzyme Q10 creams incorporate the enzyme with nanoliposomes thus rendering the color of the cream white. Your conclusion is wrong. The creams with Co Q10 can definitely be white. You should be more concerned with the results of your face cream on your skin. Is is making your skin smooth and soft, is it decreasing fine lines and wrinkles? If you are not receiving good results from your face creams than perhaps it is time to switch brands. Colosé creams that contain Co enzyme Q10 are Day Cream Multiactive and Night Cream Multiactive.
I am an African American women with scars from Mosquito bites on my legs. My scar are darker than complexion. If I were to tan do you think that would hide the scars? Or should I consult a dermatologist? Or is there any products on the market that can fade the scars away to blend in with my complexion?
I am an African American with skin discoloration on my back will tanning rid me of the skin discoloration? and if so will it be permanent?
Tanning will not equalize the skintone on your legs or back. You can either try to hide the scars/ discoloration with concealer products such as Dermablend leg and body cover cream or a lightenting cream made by Sudden change. It is always advisable to consult a dermatologist when skin "flaws" become an issue. There is laser surgery available if you want to go that route. A dermatologist might recommend microdermabrasion. If you are at all prone to keloids though I would not recommend going the surgery route. You can read about laser surgery in our articles section.
I cleanse, tone and moisturize morning and night but I`m still very spotty is there anything I can do to get rid of my spots?
You should add a Face Cream with Retinol to your routine. Apply evenly on face and neck every morning and in the evening on cleansed skin. The cream can also be used as a base under makeup. Applied regularly to the skin it will create a smoother and rosier glow. It is used to aid in the reduction of lines, wrinkles, and to fade age spots. Colosé Cream Vitalisante with Retinol.
What is the difference and which one is better for the effectiveness and side effects for taking care skin complexion and wrinkles?
Our number one anti-wrinkle cream is Colosé Cream Egalisante. It is a collagen cream and the active ingredients are from plants so there are not any side effects. Next is our Creme Multiactive which contains Co Enzyme Q10. People have different preferences as to what cream to use. Both of the products contain superb ingredients so I can only suggest that you read about them and choose the one that appeals to you. We have no complaints on either cream and they sell equally well, both being in our top 10 products.

I swim in a public pool and don’t want to go into the shower area afterwards, but would rather come home. However, it is a 15-20 minute drive home before I can shower off the chlorine. I really wonder if it does any good waiting that long and besides, the water at home is treated with chlorine anyway so does it really matter if I shower off at the pool? Also, should I put lotion on after I get out, or just something like baby oil? Thanks
Yes, what you are suggesting is perfectly fine. The reason is that the chlorine does not make the skin dry and/or itchy. It is being in the water for long periods of time that drys out the skin because the water removes the natural oil on the surface layer of the skin. The stored fluid in the skin cells evaporates quickly without the protection of the natural oils and that is why the skin feels dry and/or itchy after swimming. You can apply either lotion or baby oil on your skin when you get out of the pool. After getting home and taking your shower you may want to apply a more intense moisturizer like Colosé Milk of Aloe or Milk of Calendula.
On tonight`s 10years younger programme you mentioned a foundation to cover vitaligo. Can you please tell me what it is called.
We have had the most positive feedback from the Dermablend products in covering vitaligo. You should try the Dermablend Compact Cover Crème and/or Dermablend Cover Creme Foundation. There is a large selection of color shades to choose from. Both products can be found at www.makeupmyway.com
Just recently I wore make up to a party. As soon as I got home from the party I washed my face to get rid of all the gunk. Later in the afternoon after I woke up my eyes felt slighty heavy. My eyelids, above and under my eyes looked wrinkled. I used Johnson Baby shampoo and a warm wash cloth to srub the area. This is the third time that this has happened to me. Is it caused by the brand of makeup or am I just allergic to it?
I do not think this is an allergy to your eye make-up because the area around the eye would be puffy and probably red. Perhaps the eye make-up is drying out the thin skin around the eyes. Next time try washing with a cleansing milk or cleansing cream and applying a moisturizer around your eyes afterward. I do not know of anyone washing their face with baby shampoo so I cannot give you any advice on that. But be gentle with your skin, do not "scrub" the area, rather use light finger tip circular motions around the eye. My main suggestion is to just try a different routine to see if you can rule out the cause of the wrinkles. Perhaps some cleansing wipes made specifically for make-up removal would come in handy for you.
